Yahoo! Connectivity Problems - All Clear!

This afternoon, Monday February 1st, Yahoo! posted an all-clear message on their Ymail Admin Yahoo! Groups page. They have seen steady connectivity and throughput levels on their MTAs and consider the problem resolved. The problems started last week, on January 26th and persisted for several days thereafter. 

The spate of 420s & 421s should now be resolved. If you have made changes to how you send email to Yahoo! including waiting four hours to retry messages when receiving/detecting 420 or 421 error messages you should leave these settings as they are a best practice for Yahoo! and the proper interval of time to wait before retrying delivery according to their postmaster team.
