The iPhone is the most popular consumer electonics hardware in history (Mary Meeker of Morgan Stanley recently produced the evidence at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco), and has set off a competitive wave that is bringing the best of the rich media, high-speed World Wide Web (and even more with unique mobile apps, etc.) to peoples' handhelds with the introductions of Droid, Palm Pre and other cool new devices that assuredly are on the way.

Intermittent Yahoo! Mail (Web Client) Errors

Pivotal Veracity has been tracking an intermittent problem occuring when attempting to access email that lands in the Yahoo! Mail Spam folder. Messages have been inaccessable off and on during the past hour. When attempting to access a message that has landed in the spam folder the following popup has been seen:

ICANN Approves Non-Latin Characters in Domain Names

Today, October 30th, ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers has anounced and approved the creation of domain names in non-latin based characters. According to industry sources this is the biggest change to the global internet since its birth in the labratory 40 years ago!

Earlier this week we announced the additions of Google's Android, the Palm Pre and social networking giant MySpace's new webmail service to our eDesign Optimizer (making us the first and only provider to do so, and further distinguishing Pivotal Veracity as the clear industry leader). False Positives at AOL Update
|
Last week Pivotal Veracity reported on a spate of false positives because of a misconfiguration in AOL's filters. We learned today that the problem was finally resolved early this week and that normal delivery has been reestablished. After evaluating spam folder placement across all of our clients we see that it is trending down from a high of over 13% on Monday, October 12th to just over 5% today, Wednesday October 14th.
